The extraction of a spiritual message, parallel, or metaphor, from current movies, is a major powerful way of addressing the culture and sharing the gospel meaningfully. Dave Bruce at http://www.hollywoodjesus.com does this and has had something like 20 million hits to his site over the last couple of years.
