I would suggest that technology is only the tip of the iceberg. But let me touch on it quickly. technology is not neutral. every new technology fundamentally changes how we see the world we live in. Specifically relationships. Relationships with God, each other and how we view ourselves. I was born into a world with computers the size of large rooms. my youngest son was born into a world of pentium 4 computers.

On image... Images are everwhere. TV. Radio. Magazine. WWW. etc. We must remember that Image is not reality. Let me say that again for emphasis. Image is not reality. However. Most people (in america)live in the illusion that their assorted collection of images is real. They call it their lives. We've developed a passion in our hearts for pseudo-events: for made news, synthetic heroes, prefabricated tourist attractions, homogenized interchangeable forms of art and literature and churches who are more interested in selling us programs than knowing and loving us.
