Finally a clearer view in the mist of New Testament church life - I have found myself in a situation of deep conviction/condemnation at not being able to join up with local churches in the town we moved to 1 year ago. I was previously involved as a "leader" - , more in worship, and God worked a plan to put us on a different course. I have visited most of the churches - although friendly/alive/hospitable, from the outside looking in, I am not at peace anywhere. I have checked my motives and asked myself many searching questions - there must be reality that changes the world - not a religious social security crutch. Indeed, I do not have the answers, but I'm not going to stop searching for God's place for me in my community. Many words in the article have rung true - I pray that many more would become uneasy as I am and so get on with what God has planned and not plan God into a church life.
