I'm thankful for the image of the scaffolding. I live and breathe in the IC as a pastor but am finding myself more and more stifled and frustrated by an unhealthy church system that is designed to deliver an experience of the institution as opposed to a transformative experience with Jesus. We're working hard on the system here, but as many of you who fight these demons know, it is almost always an uphill climb. Our hope, of course, is not in ANY system, whether IC or HC, but in JC and I'm convinced that as our psychopathic controllers eventually die off, we'll be left with enough of a remnant to be able to do something positive.
