Publisher's notes ---
May 2001
Last
week at this time I was on my way back home from my vacation-honeymoon
in Tahiti. For two weeks I had the privilege of spending time in one
of the most beautiful places on earth with my new wife. Heaven must be
something like Tahiti, without the mosquitoes! We did some SCUBA
diving, snorkeling (with stingrays, eels and sharks!) and deepened our
relationship. I am grateful that God loves to give us second chances,
and feel as though I have been the recipient of my share of second
chances in my life.
On that
subject, Leslie Ramusack's reflections on her experience receiving a
new heart are touching and very real. See her article: Real
Life. Eric Stanford takes us on a journalistic visit to Graceland,
the church-within-a-church of Santa Cruz Bible Church. Dann Pantoja
explores multicultural
ministry in North America and shares his personal journey in this
area. Author Andrew Careaga looks at visual depictions of the likeness
of Jesus in his article, Seeking
His face. Mark Riddle takes a look at the consumer
church, and newcomer Dave Heiserman examines the subject of Healing
for Today. Javad Shadzi explores the condition of the half-saved
or half damned?
