With the
end of September, Worshipmusic.com announces this last year's
winners of our "Editor's Choice" awards, which is a unique
selection of our very best worship projects from the last year. It
highlights only what we consider to be the very best CDs we have
heard, with all things taken into account. Musicality, creativity,
and spiritual attentiveness to the focus of "worship"
(which couldn't be more necessary) all play into how we chose these
"cream of the crop" projects for these award. Our over-all
best CD for the last calendar year follows.

Our
goal with this award was to recognize truly great worship projects,
whether publisher or "indie" produced. We hope that this
focus increases and encourages the continued production of truly
great praise and worship projects.
More
about the Editor's Choice Award and its background
We
took our entire inventory of many hundreds of products and singled
out just 7 CDs that we think are the very best of the best. These
are projects that are riveting in worship, intense in passion,
excellent in music, and fresh with creativity. We looked at projects
which were both independents (call indies) and regular big label
published CDs. The results continue to astound us (as they did last
year as well). We don't take submissions for this award, and we
don't promote albums in it because the "big" publishers
are pushing them for sales. If you haven't heard of these CDs, it is
only a matter of time before you do.
